War
horse is a story of a horse named Joey. Joey’s owner is Albert. Soon Albert’s
parents become short of money and sell the horse to the army. Albert is
determined to find Joey so he tries to join the army but he is too young but
when he is old enough he signs up for the army.
But when he does Joey is captured and works
for the Germans. A while after Joey is found. One Welsh person and one German
have a coin toss. The Welsh person wins the horse and then Joey is sent to work
were Albert is working. They are reunited and move back to the farm and live a
happy life.
The
part I enjoyed the most was when it was near the end of the book, when they
were in the court yard selling the horses. Emilie’s grandpa gave the horse back
to Albert and they move back to the farm and live a happy life.
